Festival honours beauty of Lang Co bay in Thua Thien - Hue
A festival is taking place in Phu Loc district, in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue, on May 16 to mark 10th anniversary of Lang Co’s recognition as one of the world’s most beautiful bays (2009-2019).

The two-day festival aims to honour the landscape and ecological environment of Lang Co Bay as well as to affirm the position and development potential of the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone.

In addition to the art programme in the opening ceremony, various unique activities are expected to attract large numbers of visitors, including a cultural and art camp themed ‘Lang Co – a world beautiful day’, a music composition camp launched by Vietnam Music Association, an exhibition of 50 art paintings featuring the bay, an exhibition of handicrafts, a culinary programme and sporting tournaments.

Located nearly 70 km south of Hue City, Lang Co is one of the bays with the most natural conditions and scenery in Vietnam. Covering an area of 42 km2 and consisting of a 10km beach, Lang Co bay features favourable conditions for the development of different types of tourism.

The provincial tourism sector set a target of welcoming over 1.5 million visitors by 2025 and over 2.5 million by 2030.

So far, Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone has attracted 30 investment projects in tourism, worth over VND55 trillion.
