CLASSICAL TOUR IN VIETNAM 20DAYS/19 NIGHTS ( CODE: VSE.CLA-14)

Vietnam nowadays attracts more and more tourists. They travel to Vietnam not only want to visit beautiful scenic but also want to discover the culture, customs of local people and enjoy the best Vietnamese foods.

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI ( DINNER)

Arrive in Hanoi by flight. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Normal check in time at 14:00. Early check in time upon room available.

DAY 2: HANOI – DUONG LAM – MAI CHAU ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

8:00 Leave Hanoi and transfer to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. Upon arrival, bike along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Continue riding around the village to discover the daily life and farming working of Vietnamese peasants along the terrace with a stop in two ancient houses: the biggest ancient house was build 200 years ago and the most ancient house back to 400 years  ago. After lunch and resting, visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Again biking to visit Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in 15 th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, among with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities. Transfer to Mai Chau .Arrive in Mai Chau walk visit village surround.  Overnight in stilt house.

DAY 3: MAI CHAU – NINH BINH( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/ DINNER)

AM: Have breakfast at 7.00 AM then go to Xa Linh (35 km from Mai Chau) where H’Mong people stay. Trekking to visit this village. Back to Mai Chau at 12.00PM.
PM: Transfer to Ninh Binh. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Note: if on Sunday you can visit market of H’Mong people.

DAY 4: NINH BINH  - CUC PHUONG – NINH BINH ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/ DINNER)

Morning transfer to Cuc Phuong National park. Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescued Centre and go trekking about 7km to see 1000 years old tree, and the real primitive forest in Viet Nam, visit animal sanctuary area. After transfer back Ninh Binh take a boat trip visit Trang An cave and  Bich Dong pagoda and Dinh Le temple.

DAY 5: NINH BINH – HALONG ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

7:00 transfer to Halong begin program 2D1N visit Halong Bay. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 6: HALONG – HANOI ( BRUNCH/ DINNER)

11:00 after finish tour in Halong transfer back Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 7: CITY TOUR HANOI – HUE ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

8:00 begin city tour with visit Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, One pillar pagoda, Stilt house, Ethnology museum, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, 1 hour by cyclo around Old quarter.

Note: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum closed on Monday and Friday. And every year closed from Sep to Nov for maintenance

 Ethnology museum will closed on Monday.

17:30 Transfer to train station to take night train to Hue by Livitrans express ( 4 berths in cabin) depart at 19:00. Overnight on train.

DAY 8: ARRIVE IN HUE – CITY TOUR ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Arrive in Hue at 8:06 AM. Transfer to hotel for breakfast.

After that take a boat trip visit Thien Mu pagoda and Minh Mang tomb then by car visit Khai Dinh tomb, Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 9: HUE – DA NANG - HOI AN ( BREAKFAST /LUNCH/DINNER)

8:00 transfer to Hoi An via Hai Van pass. On the way visit Cham Museum and Marble mountain in Da Nang. Arrive in Hoi An  and walk visit Hoi An Old quarter. Overnight in  Hoi An.

DAY 10: COOKING CLASS & HOI AN SILK VILLAGE ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Morning attend cooking class in Red Bridge cooking school begin at 8:15.

Visit Hoi An’s colourful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We  will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisure cruise ( 25 minutes) along the Hoi An river to the Red Bridge Cooking school. This is a change to view local river life. On arrival we  will explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge chef’s before we prepare the same dish decoration. After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.

Afternoon visit Hoi An silk village, you will walk through the mulberry garden and describe the rich history that silk has had in Vietnamese culture and discuss the various species of mulberry used in Vietnam.  You will also tour the silkworm breeding house, providing an in-depth look into the lives of silkworms.  From there, you will know how silkworm cocoons are unraveled to become the silk thread used in clothing.  After you learn about the actual creation of silk threads, you will be able to watch Champa women using ancient looms to make silk textiles.  Finally, the tour will end with a hands-on demonstration of how to decipher fake versus real silk.

DAY 11: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

A half-day trip to visit the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son, recognized as one of the world's heritage. Here, 70 Km southwest of Da Nang, in a lush green valley, are dozens of the red brick towers and sanctuaries dating between the seventh and thirteenth centuries. Continue back to town.

Afternoon is free.

DAY 12: HOI AN – DA NANG – BUON MA THUOT( BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/DINNER)

11:25 transfer to Da Nang airport to take flight to Buon Ma Thuot by VN 1021 depart at 13:25.

14:35 arrive in Buon Ma Thuot. Transfer to visit Dray sap waterfall then transfer to hotel. Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

DAY 13: BUON MA THUOT( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

8:00 transfer from Buon Ma Thuot to Buon Don, a famous place of elephant hunting and taming in the ancient period. Across the suspension bridge (250m) through the Srepok river, the ancient house over 120 years-old of the Laotian and the grave of the elephant hunting King Khunjunop. After that back to the city and visit Khai Doan wooden Pagoda.

DAY 14: BUON MA THUOT – DALAT ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Morning drive to Lak lake, you explore Jun village of the M’Nong hilltribe, elephant ride across the lake, dugout canoe on the lake.After lunch transfer to Dalat. Overnight in  Dalat.

DAY 15: CITY TOUR DALAT ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

9:00 begin city tour with visit Bao Dai Palace , Truc Lam Monastery, Domain De Marie, XQ hand embroidery, Valey of Love. Drive to Trai Mat town visit one of the biggest bell in Vietnam at Linh phuoc pagoda.

DAY 16: DALAT – SAIGON ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

7:50 transfer to Dalat airport to take flight to Saigon by VN 1381 depart at 9:50.

10:40 arrive in Saigon. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Saigon.

DAY 17: SAIGON – CU CHI – TAY NINH ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

7:30 transfer to visit Cu Chi tunnel, an incredible underground tunnels network – constructed by Vietnamese resitance fighters during the long struggle for independence.

Then transfer to Tay Ninhvisit the colorful Holly See temple, which is the heart of the unique religion in Vietnam called Cao Dai and where all the faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail, and take part in attending mass service.After that turn back Saigon.

DAY 18: SAIGON – BEN TRE – CAN THO ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

8:00 drive to Ben Tre. Pick up at brickiln house factory (6km from Ben Tre town). Come and see how to make brick by hand in traditional style. Then take a boat on Ben Tre river, discover a peaceful country along smooth waterways. Visit manual coconut processing workshop. Continue through canal by rowing - boat. Disembark then take a walk along the village and visit Mr. Mười Nở’s house for fruit and tea.

Then take a motor cart (xe lôi) or bike on shady paths, pass – by ride fields and vegetable plains. Lunch at Nam Bo’s house. Then the boat sends back to Hung Vuong pier following Cai Coi canal.

Picked up by car and transferred to Can Tho. Overnight in  Can Tho.

DAY 19: CAN THO – SAIGON (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

Take a morning boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market and Ba Cong fruit garden.

After that transfer back Saigon. Lunch on the way. Check-in hotel upon arrival in Saigon.  Overnight in  Saigon.

DAY 20: DEPARTURE (BREAKFAST)

Check out at 12:00.

Transfer to airport for departure.
