Day 1: Hanoi - Quan Ba (☀️🌙)
Early depart from Hanoi. Road to Ha Giang. breathtaking scenery before arriving at Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where panoramic views overlook the majestic valleys below. Continue to admire the legendary Fairy Twin Mountains, one of the most iconic natural landmarks of Northern Vietnam.
Overnight in Quan Ba.
Day 2: Quan Ba - Lung Cu - Lo Lo Chai (🥐☀️)
After breakfast, journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Cross the winding Tham Ma Pass before visiting Sao Ha Village, a peaceful H'Mong village renowned for its centuries-old stone houses and authentic mountain lifestyle.
Continue to Lung Cu Flag Tower, marking Vietnam's northernmost point, where spectacular views stretch across the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, stroll through the charming Lo Lo Chai Village, home to the colorful Lo Lo ethnic minority, then visit the historic Vuong Family's Palace (H'Mong King Palace), once the residence of the powerful H'Mong rulers.
Overnight in Dong Van.
Day 3: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng - Meo Vac(🥐☀️)
Begin the day with a walk through the charming Dong Van Ancient Town, where traditional stone houses preserve the character of the old trading town. Visit the famous Pao's House, featured in the award-winning Vietnamese film The Story of Pao. Continue along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, considered one of the most spectacular mountain roads in Vietnam, before boarding a boat to cruise the emerald waters of the Nho Que River, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and the magnificent Tu San Canyon. Continue to Meo Vac for the night.
Day 4: Meo Vac - Ba Be (🥐☀️🌙)
After breakfast, depart from Meo Vac towards Ba Be National Park. The route passes through mountains, valleys and remote villages, offering a changing panorama of all the diversity of North Vietnam.
If your trip falls on a Sunday, stop at the Meo Vac Sunday Market, famous for its colors, energy, and ethnic diversity. Here, the Hmong, Dao, and Tay communities trade their products, from handmade crafts to colorful traditional clothing — a vibrant window into local life.
Lunch on the way and then arrival in Ba Be in the middle of the afternoon. Settled in a traditional house on stilts, on the edge of the lake. Free time to walk around the village, enjoy the surrounding calm or simply rest by the water. Dinner and overnight in Ba Be.
Day 5: Ba Be - Hanoi (🥐☀️🌙)
After breakfast, embark on a boat trip on Ba Be Lake. Glide across calm waters surrounded by limestone mountains and pristine rainforest. Visit the Puong Cave, an impressive tunnel carved through the cliffs by the river. Continue toward the floating fishing village of Ba Be to meet local families who still live traditionally on the water. Depending on the season, stop at the Dau Dang Waterfall, hidden in lush nature.
After lunch at a local's house, departure by road to Hanoi. Arrival in the capital in the evening. Your guide thanks you warmly for this shared trip, with the hope of seeing you soon on other roads in Vietnam.
